Chef Haruhiko Yamamoto decided to become a chef and enrolled at Ecole Tsuji Tokyo after his parents praised his cooking whilst he was growing up. After graduation, he started his first apprenticeship at Mr. Takata Haruyuki's restaurant in Gifu, "Wakamiya Hassho", and at the age of 25, he was appointed manager. In 2011, he opened his own restaurant, "Seizan", which was awarded two Michelin stars a year and a half later.
